Chapter 8: The origin of the human.
Fossils and genetic evidence has been obtained on human origins. The human odyssey began six or seven million years ago with a population of hundreds of apes living near the center Africa. Earths climate was changing and foods were disappearing. We will never know the full story in all its drama and challenges. A band on several men, women, and children spread and multiplied throughout the centuries.
Chapter 9: Becoming a Planetary Presence.
Some people were different. Reindeer people, whale people, birds and feathers. Some humans ventured out of Africa fifty thousand years ago, reaching North America some eight thousand or more years ago. In another thousand years they were already at the Southern tip of South America. A vast number of mammals and spices disappeared, including the large animals. There is both power and poignancy to the human story. The emergency of civilization was a major event in the complexifying of the Earth. Modern humans transformed the planet into a bundle of resources.
Chapter 10: Rethinking Matter and Time.
Newton and Galileo was two very important people. As these two scientist were outlining a new understand of matter, Rene Descartes promoted that matter is passive and inert, while the mind only exist only in human brain. Only humans has thoughts and feeling. Animals and other nature operated like a machine. Our commitment towards the natural world has led to the withering of Earths ecosystem. Life on land and in the ocean is collapsing. The traditional, sense of time, the cycle of nature, was abandon at the beginning of the modern era. But a deeper understanding of time has surfaced within our investigation of nature.
Chapter 11: Emerging Earth Community.
There is nothing more mysterious than density of a person, species, planet or of the universe itself. Becoming a form of human is as natural to the universe as the stars and oceans. Knowing how and where you belong enhances the Earths community. We are searching for ongoing guidance. We will need to know what we can rely on. In order to move to the future we need to know what will be there for us. The oceans will also be our guidance to our journey in the future. Our human density is to become the heart of the universe.

Extra Credit: The Pope
The Pope says "we must move on, we must love each other regardless of what race and religion you are." He enjoys to be with many people and loves children. He spoke in the Festival of Family. People thinks he is humble, holy, and speaks from his heart. Any children that wants to see him he blesses them and kisses them. A family all the way from Ukraine came just to see him.
What he addressed to congress is that they should be responsible for immigration, homeless and needy people.

Journey of the Universe: Chapters 4-7
Chapter 4 was about the Birth of the Solar System. Five billion year ago a shimmering cloud created by an explosion began its gravitational collapse into a thousand new star systems. One of t the centers became our sun and its eight planets, a solar system. Earlier people couldn't figure out to formation of the planets and the sun and the moon. We are also seeking our path into the universe as awe discover more about the planets, their movements and their composition. We are living on a planet traveling around a star.
Chapter 5 was about Life's Emergence. On Earth, the first simple cells appeared about four billions years ago. The another two billion years the more complex cells began to appear. This game rise to many things such as the oceans, animals in the streams, and wolves the mountains. One of the most compelling concerns was the nested nature. The largest dynamic structure in the universe is thee galaxy. Over four and a half billion years the earth has moved toward ever greater complex and interconnectedness.
Chapter 6 was about Living and Dying. We remember that energy from our lives comes from original flaring forth of the universe, and the atoms of our bodies come form explosions of ancient stars, the patterns of our lives come form many ancestors over billions of years. We begin to appreciate the manner in which life remember the past and beings fresh forms today.                                                        In life we live and learn.
Chapter 7 was about The passions of Animals. Our passion is our urge to merge. One of the most amazing discoveries is that life has arrived at ever deeper passions and ever more effective ways of satisfying these passions. When lizards have evolved from their fish and amphibians, the passion to merge has deepen. With mammals, the passion reach yet a new crescendo. All animals live in the great drama of their passions. We live in a universe where choices are made. Not everything goes. Some things are better than others and are preferred. No matter how difficult it might be to choose one and reject the others, life insists upon it.

Journey of the Universe: Chapters 1-3
Chapter 1, One key from Beginning of the Universe that I taught was interesting was in the 16th&17th centuries we realized that the Earth wasn't stationary but was moving around the sun. In the 18th century we came to realize that the human mind wasn't static, nor human society. Then in the 19th century, we discovered that the life forms themselves had gone through significant transformations over time. Finally in the 20th century the stars had changed dramatically, and the galaxies. The entire observable universe had passed through a series of irreversible transformations.
Birth of the Universe that I taught was interesting is the discovery of the universe has expanded and is still expanding is one of the greatest of human history. Scientist knew that mater changed forming the universe, but they assumed that the universe as a whole wasn't changing. The universe has a story- a beginning, middle (where we are now) and perhaps a future end.
Nuclei and Bonding that I taught was interesting was that in the beginning, the universe brought forth quarks and leptons, the elementary particles, which formed protons and neutrons. A thick and gluey form of matter called plasma. With out that there was almost no structure in the universe.
Chapter 2 was talking about the stars and the galaxies. Over the course of the 20th century, we discovered nearly a hundred billion galaxies. Each of them contains several billion stars. Scientist discovered that a series of waves were passing through the universe. Our Milky Way galaxy is one of a several dozen galaxies revolving around each other.  The most powerful feature of our galaxy is the spiral structure. This continues to create stars. Most of the stars that exists are doomed to die without being replaced.
Chapter 3 was talking about stars.  The most significant discovery is that stars are self organizing processes. They aren't just unchanging night objects in the nights sky. Stars don't only shine, they resonate and communicate. Throughout history humans have used stars for navigation. The stars are our ancestors.

What is food justice?
Food justice means all people have access to basic foods.
In what ways can nature be therapeutic?
Nature can be therapeutic by having a connection with nature. From gardening, walking through a park, climbing mountains, and having outdoor playtime has found solace in nature. The American life is divided by nature deprivation and a disconnection with the world around us.
Who coined the term "nature deficit disorder?"
Richard Louv coined the term. This isn't a formal disorder but nature deficit disorder is raising cain with children in the world.
Being active and staying outdoors is a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy the outdoors and sports because its good for you and you can stay fit.You are able to do lots of things rather than waist time being indoors and staying on your technology. Sometimes its good for you to get out and be with nature.
